This kit contains plenty of alginate impression powder which is totally safe for use on your skin as the main ingredient is seaweed! There’s 2kg per kit, which will make 2 adult hand casts and quite possibly more, all depending on the size of the hands. Plus there’s 2kg of strong, stone casting plaster. All BabyRice materials can be bought separately should you wish to purchase more for additional casts.
3D casting produces amazing results and the effort is more than worth it! You will definitely need a helper to assist you and with the help of our instructions that come with the kit, you will be able to produce a great hand cast, just like the photos show you above.
You will need a suitably sized container that will fit the adult hand into, something like a large pop bottle is ideal. We can’t supply containers with the kits as there’s plenty of variations of sizes when it comes to adults hands! We give a lot more suggestions of what to use in the instructions that come with the kit, so if you are purchasing this as a gift for someone or a couple, then they will be able to source a container without too much effort.
